Nestled like a fairytale in the Harz forest, the Wendefurth reservoir lies directly below the Rappbode dam. Rowboats and pedal boats are ready for the season, which begins every year in April and ends at the end of October.

Particularly popular are the round trips on a motorized excursion raft across the 4,5 km long reservoir.

The floating "Seeterrasse zum Hecht" (Lake Terrace at the Pike) awaits its guests with, among other things, fish specialties, such as smoked trout fresh from the oven. Coffee, cake, cold drinks, ice cream, and snacks are always available.
