Since August 2020, the natural beauty of the Burgberg hill in Bad Harzburg can be experienced in a spectacular Harz Mountains attraction. 

The Harz Tree Top Cable Car offers a comfortable ride through the ancient oaks and beeches of the Burgberg hill, all while seated in a harness. Traveling at a maximum speed of 12-15 km/h, the forest feels incredibly close. The breathtaking view of the Brocken mountain, visible from the launch tower of this 1.000-meter-long flight experience, is truly stunning. Suitable for riders weighing between 20 kg and 120 kg, the Tree Top Cable Car provides a unique perspective on the changing forest landscape of this northernmost low mountain range for visitors of all ages. It terminates directly at the end of the treetop walkway, allowing for a perfect combination of the three attractions in Bad Harzburg: the Burgberg cable car, the Tree Top Cable Car, and the treetop walkway. 

50 interactive stations, glass walkway and suspension bridge

The treetop walkway can be wonderfully combined with the Burgberg cable car and the treetop cable car, both of which end at the 1.000-meter-long path through the treetops of the Kalte Tal (Cold Valley). Combined with a short hike, the treetop walkway, opened in 2015, with its 50 interactive stations about the nature and culture of the Harz Mountains, offers eye-to-eye views with squirrels, jays, and other wildlife. 

The year-round treetop experience is rounded off with various events, such as treetop lighting, treetop Christmas, culinary events, readings and concerts. 

Opening hours for both experiences: April-October 09.30 am – 18.00 pm, November to March 10.00 am – 16.00 pm.
