Sustainability is a matter close to our heart. Therefore, our house is certified with the GreenSign Level 4 and we create a CO2 footprint & water footprint annually. Our restaurant is awarded with the Greentable seal “Sustainable Gastronomy”. The beautiful nature of our region offers versatile incentives in the green. These are perfect conditions for a green meeting!

With us, you can hold climate-neutral meetings if you wish – the CO2 emissions generated by your event are calculated in cooperation with myclimate and then offset by supporting an internationally recognized climate protection project. And we also offer this:

  • vegan and vegetarian alternatives upon request

  • hotel app to digitally send the meeting agenda to all participants

Tips for your next climate-friendly event

In addition to tourism, the meetings industry also plays an important role in combating climate change. Many aspects and operations of a meeting can be a burden on our environment. Besides choosing a sustainably managed hotel, there are countless ways you can make your events more sustainable. This is how to organize a green meeting:

  • Plan and enable participants to travel by train

  • Do you already know the DB “Environment Plus” event ticket?

  • Offset CO2 emissions of the journey and the event

  • Donate trees for the Harz forest or plant trees yourself (as an incentive)

  • Keep paper consumption to a minimum – use digital communication

  • If necessary, use recycled paper

  • Avoid waste – keep material use and packaging low

  • Order vegan or vegetarian as well as regional and seasonal event catering

  • Do without room cleaning – donate trees instead

  • Choose incentives that cause few emissions (we are happy to advise)

  • Do without giveaways and advertising materials at the event

  • Openly communicate the sustainability of the event

  • Sensitize the participants on site for sustainable action
